CLIENT: Valentine's Day Event

BACKGROUND: Curacao is a Southern California retail company that provides electronics, appliances, and financial services to its customers. For a customer engagement event, I designed a branded promotional email announcing a Disneyland ticket raffle intended to drive store traffic and boost sales. The email guides customers through entry via QR code, social media follow, and digital form submission, using a clear information hierarchy to present eligibility requirements, prize details, and terms while maintaining an engaging retail marketing tone. The campaign contributed to a strong turnout of customers visiting the store during the event.
DESIGN PROCESS: ​​​​​​​The project began by identifying the goal of increasing in-store traffic and sales through a customer engagement event. I collaborated with the marketing team to review the event details, raffle mechanics, and legal requirements, including eligibility guidelines and terms and conditions. Using this information, I developed layout concepts that prioritized clear calls-to-action and multiple entry points, including QR code scanning, social media follow, and digital form submission. I then applied Curacao’s branding guidelines to maintain visual consistency while creating an engaging retail email. The design was refined to highlight the raffle prize, entry instructions, and important disclaimers, ensuring customers could quickly understand how to participate before the final email was prepared for distribution.

RESULTS: The final email design was successfully distributed as part of the event’s marketing outreach and helped generate strong customer participation. By clearly communicating how to enter the Disneyland ticket raffle and emphasizing the in-store experience, the campaign contributed to a high turnout of customers visiting the store during the event. The piece effectively balanced engaging promotional visuals with clear eligibility details and terms, supporting both the marketing goals of driving store traction and increasing sales while maintaining clear and compliant communication.
